This is Kirk Cousins year. If Washington agrees to his quarterback request, he can be traded to another team on the NFL.
After signing his contract at the beginning of last weekend, he will be playing ball for Washington for a whole year, with $23.94 million at stake if he stays.
According to multiple tabloids have claimed that Cousin wants to look for greener pastures and that he is unsettled at the Washington’s and the circumstances would cause him to deny his signature to the contract. Well, that’s not happening. At least not for the coming year.
Cousins plans to join the San Francisco 49ers, and he has apparently told Washington that he will be making the shift in 2018 at the latest.
In a report, a reporter claims that the Kirk had held a meeting with Washington’s coach and asked to be traded. Snyder apparently discouraged him, an action that could have a connection with the current feud between Snyder and new 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan.
Washington is a sinking boat, which is understandable as to why Cousins wants to desert it. having made around $44 million between 2016 and 2017, Cousins could be on the open market at the next offseason before life hits a wall.
