Marcel Kittel celebrated his second victory of the Tour de France 2017 in Troyes, a city which accommodated a stage for the first time in 17 years.
Once again, the kilometers of closing were impossible to control by the teams of the sprinters because of the nervousness and of the wild battle for positioning, then when it was at a crucial time, after a last technical and sinuous kilometer, it was all alone for the 400 m - during the right completion.
The sprint of Quick-Step Floors was brought to before by a strong principal train including Jack Bauer, Fabio Sabatini, Zdenek Stybar and Matteo Trentin, who moved at the end pointed at the group once the escaped ones had been involved by the fantastic Julien Vermote, who again put a gargantuan effort to keep the escaped ones in constant checking.
Kittel accelerated with 200 meters to go on the left side while all the other competitors were piled up on the right side of the road, and with a full-time effort, its second victory in the Tour de France 2017 marked, by a length of a bicycle.
